Toronto is my birthplace. I was employed by two different studios as a graphic designer during my career. I attended courses offered on illustration at the Ontario College of Art and so I enrolled. My instructor, Will Davies, introduced the art of great illustrators and some of their techniques.
Eventually I left the field of design to pursue my love for painting and drawing and thus began a new focus as a freelance illustrator.
For over 30 years I was commissioned by publishers, magazines, studios as well as a few Advertising agencies. All of my illustration projects were from Toronto, New York and some European clients. During that time I was approached to teach art and did so at a Toronto college.
Now, my journey as an artist has led me to painting a variety of subjects of interest to me.
I am an artist member of: OPA Oil Painters of America, The Canadian Society of Marine Artists, The American Society of Marine artists, the Canadian Aerospace Artists Association.
