Born and raised in Toronto, but with deep Nova Scotia roots, Virginia paints in the Tonalist style, creating atmospheric, moody landscapes which convey a feeling for the passage of time and evoke in the observer a sense of quietude and pensiveness.
Her work hangs in private collections across Canada and the US. As an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, Virginia was awarded First Place in the 2023 Landscape Exhibition at Federation Gallery in Vancouver, British Columbia.
