Virginia Bergmann - Paint the Town 2026 | At-Home/Studio Artist

Virginia Bergmann is a self-taught artist, born in Toronto, with deep roots in Nova Scotia, Virginia draws her inspiration from an enduring love of the countryside. Virginia’s approach is informed by the Tonalist tradition, a movement which stemmed from the early French Barbizon School, known for its soft transitions, muted palettes, and meditative mood. Her work has been juried into scores of national exhibitions from coast to coast winning multiple awards and honourable mentions. She is an elected signature member of both the Federation of Canadian Artists and the Society of Canadian Artists. Her paintings are held in private and corporate collections worldwide.
