Tanya Keigan is a lifelong artist inspired by nature, the cosmos, humour, philosophy, music, and materials. Her work is multi-displinary, bold, expressive, graphic, and technical. She works in acrylic, watercolours, art markers, printmaking, photography, and various craft disciplines. With roots in Cape Breton, she went to college and university in Toronto, Ontario, where she earned a Bachelor of Design in Environmental Design and worked for world-renowned architecture and design studios. Accepting that city life was not for her any longer, she and her partner moved to a tiny home in the forest for many years before making the big move home to the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, where she happily resides with her partner and 3 cats in the forest. She runs The Oak & Chickadee, an art and design maker shop online and locally at markets and events such as The Annapolis Royal Farmers and Traders Market.
