Painting with Wayne Boucher
Saturday October 29 2016
9:30am-3:30pm
ARTsPLACE Gallery (upstairs)

This workshop will enable participants to express their own ideas through the use of paint. The workshop focuses on the effective use of materials, tools, critical thinking, editing images and the overall process of formulating meaning through paint.

Workshop leader Wayne Boucher will work one-on-one with the participants and facilitate a group critique for constructive evaluation.

Wayne is an elected member of the Royal Canadian Academy for the Arts (RCA), and is the 2006 recipient of the Portia White Award for artistic excellence and innovation. He has led numerous workshops and will inspire participants to find their own personal approach to painting.

The workshop will feature the use of oil sticks, but any painting medium will do. Participants are requested to bring 4 to 5 canvases and drawing paper to the workshop.

Workshop enrollment: 10 participants plus 4 places for Saturday only
Fees:
Participants are encouraged to register for both days at $125
Saturday only at $90
Full payment is required to secure your place.
Light refreshments provided, bring own lunch.
