Soraia Maurilio

Soraia is an artist with Brazilian roots whose initial training was in fashion and evolved into fine arts and fine craft. She have worked with paper, fabric, fibers and natural materials. Collage, fabric dyeing, embroidery, sewing and confectionery are part of her experience. She got her diploma in Metal Arts and Jewellery from the NBCCD. Today she works as a watercolour painter, her favorite medium and as jeweller in her studio based in Moncton, NB. Her work is bold, with organic shapes and full of color, lightness, joy and movement.
