Sigrid La Roque, Paint the Town artist

Sigrid La Roque, graphic artist, painter, teacher and friend, started to paint in the open inspired by the Barbizon painters, impressionists and neo-impressionists, in particular Corot, Cezanne, Monet, Utrillo, Van Gogh, Gross and Pissarro. Lead toward impressionism, abandoning shadows, using cold colours, greens and blues and complementary colours. Setting up an interplay of colours. Viewing subjects from a distance. Focusing on a play of light and atmosphere.
