Richard Cianflone

Having had a career in the atmospheric sciences my inspiration for painting has been mostly derived from a mix of natural settings, nature's power and atmospheric effects. I tend to use stronger colors and contrasts to bring create a feeling of the drama and beauty that nature can provide. I have painted from the Maritimes, into the Rockies and to the US desert Southwest mostly depicting dramatic landscapes and skies.
