A Paint the Town veteran! Zehava is a self-taught painter who loves painting her surroundings: urban and rural scenes in a bold, confident style and flamboyant colour.  Zehava was born and raised in Israel and moved to Canada in the late 1980s. After working as a graphic artist for about a decade, she painted a variety of interior murals across Canada, and then started pursuing fine art painting professionally.  Since the early 2000’s she has been active and prolific, producing a collection or two per year while working at a local gallery and conducting art workshops and live demonstrations.  She has participated regularly in annual plein-air painting events in Lunenburg and Annapolis Royal.  Zehava is represented by several galleries around Nova Scotia and PEI.  Her paintings can be found in public and private collections throughout the world. Zehava's artwork was also featured in “From Land and Sea: Nova Scotia’s Contemporary Landscapes” by Dee Appleby and the CBC Sharing the View Calendar.

Light refreshments included, participants to bring their own lunch.
Bring your own materials. List sent to participants.

Maximum 12 participants. Non-refundable unless the place can be filled.
Outline SPEED PAINTING (in acrylics)
In the quest of painting looser and to improve your general painting skills (such as editing, brush confidence, and composition) we will be doing Speed Painting exercises.
In the morning Zehava will offer a short demonstration and then participants will do several exercises. In the afternoon people may start working on a longer piece or chose to continue doing speed painting exercises. Zehava will be assisting and advising as needed.
The day will end with a critique session of some of the work.
Please come with open mind and willingness to be pushed out of your comfort zone :) It should be fun!
