Louise Miteouamigoukoue Spiritcougar Lefebvre, Paint the Town Artist

My name is Louise Miteouamigoukoue Spiritcougar Lefebvre and I am a Canadian Algonquin Métis Two-spirit individual. Art has been a part of my life since my earliest memories. I learned to find inspiration in everyday life and the environment around me. I have come to honour the unique way in which I view the world: my love of colour and distortions, the inclusion of many perspectives, a profound respect for Earth Mother and the infinite beauty in the imperfect.
Who I really am lies in the simple callings of my heart. I am a contemporary Indigenous artist, who uses fibre and traditional methods of mark-making in a plethora of textures and colours. Through my art, I am a storyteller.
