Montreal born, Nova Scotia-based artist Jennifer Goddard works in oils and multi-medium drawing. Her practice includes landscapes, portraits and the languages of the figure. A lifelong artist and largely self-taught, she studied at The Banff Centre, Alberta, and at Studio Escalier in Paris and Argenton, France (2015-16). In the interim, she studied under various teachers while pursuing a career in advertising.
he has exhibited widely and has collectors in Canada, the US and Europe. Her work was selected for the 2018 Circle Arts Quarterly Magazine and Manifest Gallery INDA and INPA annuals (2015-16-18). In 2014 and 2015 she was shortlisted for the BP Portrait Award in London and was selected for the Kingston Portrait Prize exhibition in 2015.
