Heather Anne Lohr, largely a self taught artist, began painting in 2017 as an outlet to her creative energy. Beginning in acrylics, she quickly migrated to water colours and now mostly creates in oils.
Her art is noted for its large brush strokes, free flowing form and her expressive use of bold colours. Subject matter ranges from large florals to the Nova Scotia rural landscape. She frequently paints the Blomidon Cape as it’s a view from where she lives.
Heather was born and raised in Newfoundland and has lived her adult life in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia.
Heather, recently retired, is focusing most of her time on pursuing her creative passion. You can usually find her painting in her studio in Port Williams.
