"Bear River, NS, has been my home for almost twenty years. My formal art education took place in Toronto and Berlin during the 1970s, followed by many years of workshops and continued exploration. I paint from life: flowers from my garden, the landscape around me, and the changing light that moves through both. Living surrounded by seasons and growth, I find an endless source of subject matter in the natural world. Gardening and painting have become intertwined practices—both require patience, attention, and a willingness to respond to change. Each painting teaches me something new."
