Flora Doehler

Flora Doehler grew up in downtown Toronto, interrupted by three years at art school in Berlin, Germany. Yet she has always found her painting inspiration in the beauty and life force of the natural world. The sensual pleasure of sitting in a field of flowers or gazing at a bouquet involves a visual immersion that includes all the other senses such as fragrance of smell, the touch of a petal, and the sound of birds and wind. Her paintings are the emotional reaction to this experience. Today Flora lives and paints in the pretty, tidal village of Bear River, NS.
