Eva McCauley is a painter known for her expressive paintings of sky, water and shifting landscapes that explore the passage of time and the transient nature of the spiritual and physical world. She is also a figurative artist, fascinated with the human condition, and the fragility of our existence. She divides her time between her studios in Bear River, N.S., and Elmira, ON, painting people and places that are steeped in personal significance.
Her most recent solo show of paintings “Splendid Isolation” was exhibited at ARTSPLACE April/July 2021 and her installation “Face to Face” will be exhibited at the Sissiboo Cafe Gallery in Bear River Sept. 1/21. She has been a sessional professor of Fine Art at the University of Waterloo since 2002.
