Elizabeth grew up spending her summers along the Bay of Fundy in Hampton and the school year in Halifax. The juxtaposition between rural and urban life inspired her passions for landscape painting and nature conservation. Elizabeth studied marine biology during her undergraduate degree at Dalhousie University and will be continuing on to a Master's a Memorial University to research avian influenza and microbiology in seabirds. Her main inspiration is her great-grandmother Eileen Mack, a folk artist from Hampton, Nova Scotia, whose work adorns practically every wall in her family's home. Her primary mediums are watercolours and acrylic.
