I often use a variety of mixed mediums, acrylic, oil pastels, collage materials, junk and garbage, along with a variety of brushes, tools, and items -- I never leave home without a steak knife.
I work in a state of frenzy, as painting for me is an exciting experience to express how I feel about the world around me. Creating is my passion and my bliss.
Abstract works sometimes have recognisable things to themes. Works of fantasy, puzzling, humorous, mysterious, intriguing, happy, and horror, it all comes out.
I love to paint plein air and I love nature. These paintings are never an exact likeness; the works express my joy of something seen, unseen, or felt. Whether my work is plein air, or abstract, it is bold and colourful. My work is always in a state of flux, changing, surprising me.
I am retired and at play again, I have been painting and creating for over 70 years. My work has won fist fulls of 1st place awards and my work has been collected internationally.
