Connie Burnett

Connie was born in Kemptville, Yarmouth Co., Nova Scotia. She works mainly with water colors. She lived in Nfld for a number of years and has work hanging in the Arts and Culture in St. John's, as well as in Confederation Center, St. John's. Connie says she likes to paint scenes that she enjoys looking at, which is why she called one of her first solo shows in Nf. "Visual Pleasure: Scenes of the Burin Peninsula". She has exhibited in NS, Nf, and P.Q. She has won several prizes for her work, the most valuable being a $1000 award for a painting which was included in a cross Canada tour. She is a member of VANS.

ARTSPLACE’s vision is to share stimulating work and strengthen artistic life in our region. Creating environments for art and arts practitioners to thrive is key to our work, as is supporting audiences in their growth, awareness, and excitement about art.

We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
