Barbara Brown Conrod has been making and exhibiting artwork for over 30 years. She works primarily in acrylic, and mixed media but also works in oil .watercolour, drawing, intaglio, sculpture and encaustic. Barbara has a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Certificate in Computer Graphics from the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. Born in Halifax, she now resides in Port Williams, N.S.
She began her studies in art at Acadia University, studied watercolour at the Worcester Museum, Mass., USA., graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 1990. Since then Barbara has taken etching at St. Francis Xavier University as well as taking many painting workshops, in watercolour, acrylic and encaustic. She has participated in numerous group shows and has had several solo exhibitions of her artwork in Halifax, Antigonish, and New Glasgow and Tatamagouche.
